This company is trying to invoice me for services they never provided. They bought up my expired contract from protelec alarm, which concluded at the end of 2018. Now 2 years later API alarm is trying to invoice me from 2020-current. I have spoken to their support countless times, and nothing has been done. I spoke to Protelec Alarm, and they informed me the equipment installed, was not compatible with API system. They received no signals, yet they are trying to invoice me for 3 years of service
I am so upset with this company. They don’t return phone calls. Customer service is non existent. Definitely NOT recommended!
I regret so much for using a.p.i. Alarm. I have been a client since 2017, and their alarms do not work - they have been going off every now and then since 2020 (they did come and said they fixed it but IT IS NOT). I am cancelling my service today. Anything is better than a.p.i.
Terrible. Charged me for an alarm response when in fact no one actually came. We were actually home when the alarm accidentally tripped. Very disappointed, had been a protelec customer for 20 years before they took over. Sad demise of this company.
The transition has been quite seamless from Protelec to api. I recently had a service call by api to replace two obsolete smoke detectors and at the same time the battery was changed in my control panel with a full system check. As good as ProTelec was for more than 30 years, these elements should have been changed out long ago. This work was initiated by api. The service tech was on time, very courteous and competent. Overall I was quite pleased with my first real interaction with api Alarms.
I am questioning if API Alarm is really an alarm company, or just a scam. I used to be a customer, but cancelled my contract with them as it turns out they were not monitoring my residential alarm system! Be very cautious if using them!!! If looking to start using them, do not!
