Within a year of opening, Pete's Meat has been hailed by Vancouver foodie's, a hot bed spot for special occasion orders and become a staple for a growing number of people looking for anti-biotic, hormone free and free range meat and deli products.
“High-quality butchery is definitely something that the modern food industry lacks,” says Pete Jenney, owner of Pete’s Meat Butcher Shop & Deli. “After working in the industry for a long time, I took a step back and rededicated my career to providing quality meat products to my customers.”
Founded in 2011, Pete embraced the idea of offering his customers local meat products that are free of hormones and medications. “Almost all of our meat is locally sourced in BC, specifically from the Fraser Valley,” he explains. “I think it’s very important for people to know exactly where their food comes from and how it was raised.”
Pete has a great deal of experience in the food industry. Before working as a butcher, Pete was trained as a chef. It was this experience that opened his eyes to the importance of cooking solely with fresh, natural food.
The nicest people work here. Great products, a wide selection of meats and deli items always available. Appreciate the 8 pm closing time.
Thank you and Seasons Greetings to you all,
Annamaria
