In July 2014, the owners of Yellow Dog Brewing Co. lapped up the opportunity to break into the craft brewing scene and propel the movement forward in Port Moody, winning over many local craft beer enthusiasts. Within three months, their Shake A Paw Smoked Brown Porter won Best in Show at the BC Beer Awards. In May 2016, they won silver for their Go Fetch West Coast Hoppy at the Canadian Brewing Awards. Topping many critics' lists, it's no surprise that their early success is a telltale sign this canine-themed microbrewery has been aptly groomed for their upcoming expansion.
"We're currently in the works on our expansion," says Mike Coghill, who co-owns the business with his wife Melinda. "We're looking to add a brand new tasting room, 70 seats, more taps and more tanks."
