Hi everyone, I ordered two large pepperoni pizzas, it was hardly anything on them, cheese absent, sauce hard to find, few pepperoni a few garlic. I asked for spicy oil, but they forgot to put in the box. Is this suppose to be the best Pizza place in Victoria? Well, it has a long way to go to satisfy customers. Will not order pizza from Prima strada again. Ratings 1 out of 5.
We eat here regularly and love it!
Ate a simple Pizza with mushrooms and spend the next two days on the toilett. Thanks Prima Strada. Should keep your kitchen clean.
Thank the heavens we finally have a REAL pizza place in Victoria. This pizza is absolutely authentic to the Sicilian and Tuscan regions of Italy where they use the best quality ingredients and let the flavours speak for themselves. The best crust anywhere, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with flavour that can't be beat. We've tried about 5 of the different pizza varieties and haven't been disappointed yet. They don't have to use piles of that fake cheese that most of the restaurants in Victoria are using now, just a smattering of the best quality cheeses to compliment the wonderful, fresh toppings they use. Our new favourite and we'll be back again, and again, and again.
I love this place! Truly, it has ruined me for any other pizza in town. I have been there many times since it opened last summer and I swear they keep getting better (and they were pretty darned fantastic to begin with!). They serve a very traditional thin crust Neapolitan pizza that is baked in a super hot, wood-fired oven. The toppings are very simple, fresh, and I know (because I asked) they get as many ingredients locally as they can. SO delicious! If you are used to deep-dish delivery, you may be a tad surprised at what is brought to your table, but trust me, this is the real deal. The Pizzeria Prima Strada pies are fantastic...and I believe, between my family and I, we have tried them all. Our favourites? Well the kids love the "Bambino" (tomatoes, basil and mozzerella). My husband and I are agreed the "Romana" (tomatoes, garlic, olives, anchovies and oregano) is what we crave. It's so seriously delicious, we once ordered it for desert, too...I'm not kidding!! They have a nice list of carefully chosen Italian wine, and much to my delight they even offer Prosecco (a sparkling Italian wine) by the glass. I love it that I can feel festive when others around me are going for the beer (they have a carefully chosen selection of that too, by the way). On peak nights, you may find a line up, but the staff are always kind enough to offer you a drink while you wait, or they will even take your cell number call you when your table comes up (just in case you want to take a walk, or head across the street to the pub for a bit). Don't want to wait (but this place is worth the wait!) on a Friday night? Arrive early (between 5 and 6 always gets us in) or come a little later (say, after 8:30). Alternatively, you can call your order in for takeout. For groups of 8 or larger you can get a reservation. Our service at Pizzeria Prima Strada has always ranged from good to fantastic and we love the atmosphere that works well for us on a 'date night', or if we are eating there as a family. If you love great food, great service and a fun atmosphere, you absolutely must head down to Pizzeria Prima Strada in the Cook Street Village.

Classic Neapolitan pizza, hand-crafted with local ingredients and baked in a wood-fired oven, is hard to turn down. The good folks at Pizzeria Prima Strada have dedicated themselves to making a quality pizza in a friendly, neighbourhood restaurant. That means good service, amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere. Try the classic Margherita first, you won’t be disappointed. Most of the seating is family-style with long tables, though, so if you need something a little more private to talk shop, call ahead.
View this Smart ListPrima Strada’s only wish is that their passion for fresh, thin-crust Neapolitan pizza come through in every pizza they deliver to your table. After testing their wares, we can firmly say that their passion is tangible. Their ingredients are off-the-charts fresh, and they manage to achieve that crisp, thin crust without sacrificing flavour. Have just one taste of Prima Strada’s Panna E Pancetta pie and you’ll know what we mean! Vegetarian? You can’t leave without trying their Funghi Supremo. Bella!
View this Smart ListTheir authentic, fire-roasted pizzas start with the finest Italian flour and plum tomatoes, and use traditional techniques to create a mouth-watering final product. Forget what you know about take out pizza; these crispy pizzas are akin to what you’d find on the streets of Italy – bursting with incredibly fresh flavours. Try the Diavola (tomato, calabrese salami, fresh mozzarella, parmigiano and red onions) or the Quattro Stagioni (tomato, housemade sausage, peppers, anchovies, olives, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella and basil). It’s no wonder they’ll soon open a third Victoria location.
