On a gorgeous sunny day, we had a very nice lunch (brunch also available) on their lower patio overlooking False Creek. Worth the wait for an outdoor seat. We both very enjoyed the tuna burger - seared nicely with a sesame crust on a nice brioche bun with choice of fresh French fries, skin on, or fancy green salad with feta. The service was very good particularly on a busy weekend lunch hour.
Vancouver is home to plenty of boutique microbreweries where you can indulge in craft beer snobbery. Unfortunately, not all of them offer a family-friendly atmosphere if you’ve got underage kiddies in tow. You can have the best of both worlds at Tap & Barrel in Olympic Village; the casual tap house offers waterfront views, a laid-back vibe, seasonal comfort foods and 24 brews on tap. The $30 Dine Out lunch and dinner menus include kid-friendly finger foods like fried pickles, hummus flatbread and chocolate cake! After your meal, drop in for playtime at nearby False Creek Community Centre.
Just as sure as you'll find someone at Tap & Barrel sinking their teeth into a classic, white cheddar-topped burger, you're bound to find a couple cute mutts socializing in the Olympic Village eatery's ample tie-up area. Located just off the water, the meal time entertainment includes a good view of local rowing teams speedily stroking past Science World.
Tap & Barrel offers one of the largest selections of B.C. products exclusively on tap. Their beer flights are seasonally inspired and they work with local breweries to offer exclusive small-batch products. There’s always something for everybody. Plus their food menu is pretty extensive, so you if you get the munchies, you are in good hands!
