Kala Rose Lifestyle Photography

Kala Sanmartin, owner of Kala Rose - Lifestyle Photography, transformed her photography hobby into a thriving business. She remembers going on camping trips with her husband, Corey, and staging photos, but her point-and-shoot wasn’t giving her the control she wanted. On her birthday, Corey surprised her with a DSLR camera.

Her first professional photography session happened by accident, when a friend was searching for photographers for an equine portrait session and came across someone she mistakenly thought was Kala. After discovering the mistake, she encouraged Kala to come out and do the session, regardless.

After that, Kala Rose - Lifestyle Photography took off, spreading almost entirely by word-of-mouth. To date, Kala has done more than 70 photo shoots capturing special moments, such as lifestyle, engagement, couples, maternity, weddings, new borns and family photos.
