Dr. Chen and his team give the best dental services in Calgary. It’s been almost 7 years from the first time I and my family chose Metro dental as our dental clinic. We live in SW Calgary and every time I have to drive almost 40 km to get there but we still think it is definitely worth it.
The front staff at metro dental really tried to figure out my insurance coverage so I did not end up with a big surprise of a bill when I left unlike some other offices I have visited in the past. Didn't have to wait too long for my appointment and although staffs are polite and not too chatty. The dentist was no-nonsense and I didn't feel pressured into getting bunch of treatments which was nice.
My son had not seen a dentist for a while and sure enough around christmas time he started complaining of a toothache. Many clinics were closed around the holidays but luckily Dr Chen was able to fit him in and take out the rotten tooth and show us the other teeth that have cavities. He really took the time to explain the problems, show us pictures of the problem teeth and explain treatments unlike some other dentists who just say you need a bunch of work but don't explain why. At the end I'm glad he saved us a trip to the hospital emergency where we'd probably have to wait for hours.
I've been a regular here since they opened. The first experience really tells you everything, I always had problems billing my insurance for dental care and had to pay cash up front. The staff here actually cared to contact my insurance company to find out they had one part of my information wrong and now everything goes through fine electronically and it's so much more convenient. Both dentists make sure they're available for a thorough check up on you and answer questions even for a simple teeth cleaning, no complaints so far!
