Lola Lash Bar is a glamorous pale pink gem among its neighbouring red-brick heritage buildings in the Mission District. A niche beauty salon specifically for lash extensions, the Lola concept was created by young entrepreneur Anna Skrzypek as a way to combine her commerce degree with a love of the beauty industry.
“I’ve always been interested in the beauty industry,” shares Skrzypek. “When I was at University, I worked at a salon and spa. I loved the spa environment; working with women, making them feel good and beautifying them. While I was studying for my bachelor of commerce, I was trying to figure out how I could combine my interests. Lola Lash Bar is really the best of both worlds for me.”
White with touches of light pink and hung with sparkling chandeliers, the shop’s interior epitomizes its owner’s personal style. Right down to the exposed brick walls and lux fabrics, the contemporary feel of the salon is all her doing.
