Post Office

Things are OK now. A few years ago, the manager refused to put an item in your box if the sender only put your physical address on the mail. (even though she knew each and every person and their box #) Many complaints were filed with Canada Post and she was abruptly transferred to another location, no doubt to spread her cheery notion of good service elsewhere.

Staff have been helpful and prompt making sure we got a po box the same day I stopped in to ask for one and they have always made sure mislabeled mail got delivered and held the packages for us. As a resident of black diamond I have never had any issues.

I’ve been told for two years now that I have to renew my post office box. After speaking to other residents and business I found that they don’t need to renew theirs. When you phone the customer service office, they claim that your concerns will be addressed but no such luck! They women at the post office have told us that it is a privilege to have this box and there are residents who don’t have a mail box in Black Diamond “because of people like us”!
